This is the first Android Nougat phone from Micromax. The phone is also compatible with 4G VoLTE. A 3050mAh battery is present to power everything.
The phone comes with a 13MP Rear-Facing Camera with an LED Flash and a 5MP Front-Facing Camera.
Apart from that, the MSP of this phone will be the free 1 year 4G support by Airtel. With the purchase of the Micromax Canvas 2, users will be getting 1 year of free Airtel 4G. This includes 400 minutes of talk time a day with a weekly cap of 1500 minutes and 1GB data a day.
The Micromax Canvas 2 will be available in Champagne Gold and Black. The company will also offer a free 1 Year Screen Replacement.
Commenting on the launch, Rahul Sharma, co-founder at Micromax Informatics said, “Over the last few months, as the Indian handset and telecom industry has undergone dynamic shift, the focus of consumers is shifting from just the hardware, to overall connected experience. Therefore, to address the consumer needs, we are happy to partner with Airtel to offer a full year of unlimited calls and 4G data with the new Canvas 2, which will help drive large scale adoption throughout the country. Our partnership with Corning has also helped us make Canvas 2, the first smartphone to offer Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in its price segment. We expect Canvas 2 to yet again set a bench mark and revolutionize the overall smartphone adoption.”
