Every year, Samsung launches a new flagship smartphone under the ‘S’ Series of smartphones. This year, Samsung has released 2 different models, the S8 and the S8 Plus. Samsung also releases an ‘Active’ variant of the ‘S’ series phones. But, sadly these phones are only sold in the US and that too are only exclusive to the carrier AT&T. SO that means that the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be following the same league.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Leaked
This photo was leaked by Wireless Power Consortium, the group behind the Qi wireless charging standard, and reveals that the phone is certified to employ Qi. Considering where the photo came from, it certainly seems as though this could be a genuine look at the phone. And as is usually the case with the Galaxy S Active model, some variations in appearance had to be made to accommodate the rugged nature of the device. For example, the picture shows that the curved edges of the Galaxy S8 have been straightened out, and the edge-to-edge display has been replaced.
Usually, Samsung doesn’t change the specifications when it comes to the Active variants. Although, last year Samsung decided to increase the battery capacity of the S7 Active from 3000mAh of the S7 to 4000mAh on the Active.
The phone will obviously be much more rugged as compared to the S8. We can expect a better IP Rating for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active and a much-rugged design altogether.
We expect Samsung to do the same this time around.
Considering this, here are the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus.
